Linn Tonstad ist Professorin für Theologie, Religion und Sexualität an der Yale Divinity School. Sie arbeitet an den Schnittstellen von Systematischer Theologie und feministischer und Queerer Theorie. Zu ihren Forschungsgebieten gehören neben den genannten auch die Religionsphilosophie und die Fundamentaltheologie. Sie ist Mitherausgeberin der Zeitschrift Political Theology.
