Stefan Menzel

Stefan Menzel ist Akademischer Rat am Musikwissenschaftlichen Seminar der Universität Heidelberg. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte umfassen die Musikgeschichte des deutschen Sprachraums im 16. und 17. Jahrhunderts, die japanische Musikgeschichte des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts, Musik und Reformation/Humanismus/Liturgie/Theologie, Musik und immaterielles Kulturerbe sowie musikalische Institutions- und Diskursgeschichte.

Stefan Menzel is lecturer at the Department of Musicology at the University of Heidelberg. His research focuses on the history of music in the German-speaking world in the 16th and 17th centuries, Japanese music history in the 19th and 20th centuries, music and the Reformation/humanism/liturgy/theology, music and intangible cultural heritage, and the history of musical institutions and discourse.
